About Us
After completing his doctor of dental surgery degree in 1982 at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, Dr. Christy Savas settled in Worcester with his wife, Donna, a native of this area. He opened a dental practice in Worcester County and has served patients for more than 30 years.
Because the health of your teeth and mouth play such an important role in your overall health, Dr. Savas is constantly involved in continuing education. This helps our practice to stay abreast of the latest treatments and techniques in the field. Dr. Savas is a member of two local dental study clubs, including the Spear Education Club, led Dr. Frank Spear.
Former President of the Central Massachusetts Implant Dental Study Group.
He maintains membership in several professional groups, including the American Dental Association (national, state, and local chapters), the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Whenever Dr. Savas can arrange to spend time away from his busy dental practice, his favorite pastimes include playing golf and kayaking. He also enjoys spending a day at the beach with Donna and their four children: daughters Reagan, 33, and Courtney, 28, and sons Matthew, 27, and Timothy, 26.
“I have worked for Dr. Savas since 1993 and I am the office manager and financial coordinator. I grew up in Leicester, but have resided in Worcester since 1983. I own a horse and take pleasure in riding several times a week. I also enjoy spending time with my partner, Cathy, my dog, Skipper, watching movies and reading books.”
“I joined Dr Savas’ dental team as a receptionist in October, 2008. I love spending time with my children, grandchildren and friends. My interests are travel, skiing and gardening to mention a few."
“I have been a certified dental assistant since 1983. I have worked for Dr. Savas since 1997 and prior to that, I worked in an orthodontic office for 10 years. I am the youngest of 10 children. I’ve been married since 1992 and we have a dog. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and my hobbies include boating and traveling."
“I am a Dental Hygienist registered with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Dentistry, and I attended college for Dental Hygiene and also Biochemistry in Massachusetts. During college, I was the first to receive an award for clinical excellence, and still take pride in my skills treating patients today, in particular scaling and root planing and educating patients with gingivitis and periodontal disease. Aside from work, I enjoy gardening and helping with dog rescues, and of course I enjoy spending time with my family!"
“I graduated from the University of Maryland with a BS degree in Dental Hygiene. I have been with Dr. Savas since 2001. My expertise is in the diagnosis, treatment and education of periodontal disease. I take great pride in my work and appreciate the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives. My passions are my family, particularly my 2 grandchildren, golf in the summer, racquetball in the winter and life in general.”
"I am a certified dental assistant and became a part of Dr Savas' team in May 2010. I graduated from Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in 2008. While in high school, I received the Gold Medal in the Skills USA District Competition in 2007. I live in Worcester with my husband Jimmy, our two daughters, Alexia & Nadia, and our cat, Oliver. In my spare time I enjoy fishing, dancing, and going out. I also enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family and friends."
